Fun outdoor activities for kids during winter Break.

I know, mama, you might be wondering what activities can entertain your kids when it’s cold and freezing. When all you want to do is get snug under a comfortable blanket indulging in a cuppa of your favourite hot beverage, right?

Well, winter breaks can be so enjoyable if you come up with some simple creative activities that will make your time with your kids fun.

Below are some of my Top 5 winter outdoor activities for kids. Give some a try this winter break.

Go on a snow trip.

Snow trips are always fun for kids, and there are plenty of things to do. All you have to do is plan 3-4 weeks ahead. If you are going for a few nights make sure to book a family friendly resort, like caravan parks. My family loves Big 4 for those who live in Australia.

Go to the butterfly house at the zoo.

I love the warm atmosphere of butterfly houses, especially during winter, and the kids absolutely adore it too. Getting so close you can touch the butterfly or watching it land on your hand is a fun experience for your children. Give it a try this break.

Give your penguins friends a visit at the aquarium.

Well, how can we experience winter holidays without visiting our penguins friends at the aquarium?! Kids can spend hours watching penguins slide the ice and paddling, and it’s so fun to see.

Let alone the fact that you can explore other sea creatures which will make that visit so worth it.

Give your local library a visit.

While we always associate libraries with books, have you ever thought of looking at their holiday activities for children?

Well you should! Some libraries have full, fun activities for kids throughout the break, and it’s for all different age groups as well. Make sure to visit their website, download the activities, and plan which ones your kids are interested in going to.

Enjoy time at the trampoline park.

Okay, my kids never feel bored going to the trampoline parks, and I am sure yours are the same. I can tell you, when we plan to go to the trampoline parks it has to be 2 hours and they will still say it was not enough. So, make sure to include this as one of your holiday activities, it is so worth it. Also, take it a bit further and create great memories by playing with your children instead of sitting down and scrolling:)

Hope this post motivates and gives you ideas for places you want to visit with your children this break!

Enjoy, and create beautiful memories.
