Hello mama friend, are you Finding it hard to get back on ibadah momentum after Eid break?! I hear you as a mama of five I get stuck on the guilt trap & the fact that I have missed the righteous train.
If you feel the same , stop there and please try the following 3 simple steps that will move your needle & motivate you as a mama. Trust me it always works for me whenever I fall into spirituality blocks .
1: Do not despair from the mercy of Allah swt.
Firmly believe that Allah swt forgives your shortcomings & he swt gives you chances after chances to redeem as many good deeds as possible. By the time I post this video it is shawaal a month that is followed by Ramadan & if you fast 6 days of it, it will be regarded as if you fasted the entire year. Do start from there & take this golden chance.
2: Start slow
What I mean by starting slow is to focus on where you need more attention. Is it your adkaar that’s fallen off or perhaps your Qur’an or it could be your prayers. Decide which one you will start on then instead of going all in , try to break it down. Eg . If Qur’an is your main motivator & you want to get back the habits you’ve built during Ramadan then start by reciting 2 pages then increase to 4 then 6 then 10 till you reach where you want to be.
3: Start where you were.
This step is so crucial. Have you heard of the lady that knitted all day and as she was close to her goal of completing that piece she instead wasted all her efforts & thought it’s better to unknit & start all over?! Isn’t that insane?! A similar story was actually mentioned in the Qu’ran in surah Al Nahl verse 92.
Allah swt said : “ And be not like a woman who breaks into untwisted strands the yarn which she has spun, after it has become strong.”
So don’t be like her if you planned to complete the Qur’an once & you were so close to it but couldn’t then start where you left off. Don’t say I’ll start over again because that will just place you on a never ending loop, trust me I made that mistake over & over again. And now I can tell you that I have finally learnt my lesson, Allahmdulilah.
Hope this post helps you get back & start over that emaan boost you have gained during Ramadan.
